
Week in and week out, Scouts gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.
Ages 10 1/2-14 years
1st Wootton Bassett Scouts has two Scout Troops, they accept children aged ten and half to fourteen years.
Our Scout sections offer a wide range of activities ranging from hiking, cycling , to camping, and many other others. We offer several camps, and hikes throughout the year.

Challenger Scout Troop
We make every effort to ensure that our Scouts can achieve their Gold Chief Scout’s Award, if they participate in the activities we offer and organise their own expedition. I am pleased to say that four Scouts completed the award this year.
Canal woodland project: We managed only one session on this project. Some of the paths we have previously cleared/created are a bit overgrown so we need to arrange a few more sessions to try and keep on top of this. [keep reading]
Gryphon Scout Troop
The boys have worked for the Navigators badge and Local Knowledge. They had to plan a route for a hike and then go on the hike.
Tom and Tom enjoyed a week on a canal boat organised by Dave and Steve. [keep reading]
