Fundraising Events
Scout Fireworks: 1st WB Scout group was offered the opportunity to run a catering outlet at the scout fireworks event at Lydiard Park in November. The group would have been solely responsible for the cost of hiring all equipment and purchasing all food. All profits would have been kept by the group, but after discussion with members of the Executive Committee, it was decided that the financial risk was too great and the opportunity was declined. No funds received from this event.
RWB Christmas Lights: Donations received from parents for tombola (bottles, chocolate, toiletries, etc) along with kid’s spin the wheel, made a profit of £509.60. A mix of 9 parents, supporters, leaders and explorers volunteered to run the stall on the evening.
Weekly Bonus Ball: Currently less than 15 bonus ball numbers taken between 9 players. £675 received with £480 paid out in winnings leaving a profit of £195. This fundraiser will continue,
whilst it makes a profit.
Gin Tasting: This was scheduled for October at the scout hut, but unfortunately the host cancelled and has not been in touch with a new date. Fortunately, no outlay had been made at
the point of cancellation. No further plans have been made.

Gift Aid
An easy free way for Group to gain additional funds is for parents to complete a Gift Aid Declaration, this gives us an additional 20 pence per pound on what you give us (with no extra cost to you).
Please ask your section leader to send you the link.
