Beavers achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Ages 6-8 years
1st Wootton Bassett Scouts has two Beaver Colonies, they accept children aged six to eight years.
The aim of Beavers is simply to have fun, all the activities are aimed at promoting teamwork, helping others, learning new skills and having fun!
To see what we’ve been up to for the last year (2023/24) take a look at our year reviews below:
Kingfisher Beaver Colony
We have had a fabulous year in Kingfisher Beavers. We have had sleepovers at the hut, summer camp and lots of fun, adventures and exploring new things. We attended JOTT, Remembrance Parade and sang carols and played instruments at Bassett House at Christmas.
We have even been asked back and will be visiting twice this year, Christmas 2024! The year was finished off with a fabulous sleepover at Legoland where we had two days in the park and overnighted amongst the Lego features in the education centre.
We have an amazing set of children and parents who help support our escapades, including the Christmas post and Christmas High St stall.
Heron Beaver Colony
The Colony was temporarily closed due to COVID but has now reopened with a new leadership team, and an annual review should be available after our next AGM.
