Cubs take part in lots of interesting and challenging activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Ages 8-10 1/2 years
1st Wootton Bassett Scouts has there Cub Packs, they accept children aged eight to ten and half years.

Apache Cub Pack

We attended JOTT, Remembrance Parade and sang carols and played instruments at Bassett House at Christmas. We have even been asked back and will be visiting twice this year, Christmas 2024!

Explorer Cub Pack
Explorer Cub Pack had a good year in 2023/24. We held a spy themed sleepover with activities such as code breaking, soft archery, and problem solving. Then in the summer, we joined Pathfinder and Apache cubs on Summer Camp and with cubs from our pack being on the winning team in the cub-chess tournament. We also took part in a JOTI event kindly organised by Challenger Scouts. (Pictures from some of these events below)
Later in the year we said goodbye to our Akela and I have since stepped into the role. [keep reading]
Pathfinder Cub Pack
It is always good to look back over the year as a reminder to all the things we have been involved in . A highlight of the year was our celebration of the King’s Coronation. Our Mayor and the Town Cryer visited us to help with this memorable celebration.
We took part in the Carnival with our Egyptian theme and were awarded the best entry by Children – as usual a lot of work by the cubs and leaders and its nice to win a trophy. A big thanks to Franki who came with us dressed as a Mummy. [keep reading]
