AGM Report for 2014/15
We have done a lot of activities in the last year.
A very successful sleepover in June, we tried different times and it worked better. We started Saturday morning and finished Sunday Morning instead of Friday evening to Saturday afternoon.
The hike was at Moulden Hill Park it is a new area but very nice and away from roads for children.
The District outing was to Cotswold Wild Life Park enjoyed by both Beavers and Leaders.
Badge work is always on going, as the boys like to earn badges and we do about three every term, and now we have lots of new badges to work for.
We said goodbye to Robin in September as she decided not to return to Beavers after the holidays.
The Beavers took part in the District Hike in October and it rained.
We again joined with Heron for fireworks and hot dogs.
January we had our usual trip to the Pantomime arranged by the District and adults and children all enjoyed it.
We had an evening at the Shaw Ridge bowling lanes. Kieran won.
We had our usual St. Georges Day Service and renewed our promises.
They took part in JOTT and walked about 3 miles, they did very well.
We entered the carnival with Apache, as afternoon tea, and got highly commended.
Our sleepover this year is Saturday 13th to Sunday 14th June.
I would like to say a big thank you to Toad “Frasier” who came along to help us as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award; he enjoyed it and has been with us since. Unfortunately we will be losing him this year as he is going to do an apprenticeship at Gloucester College so we wish him good luck, but before that he is going on the world jamboree to Japan, so Frasier thank you and all the best for the future and enjoy Japan.
Tom came along to work for his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and again enjoyed himself so is back helping us, we also have Matthew and he intends to stay for a long time. I must say they are great with the Beavers and get things organised; I think they both should work with children in the future.
Thank you to all parents who support us.
And finally thanks to Chris for coming along each week and helping us.
Eileen (Mang) BSL.
